Lyn E. Beggs

Lyn Beggs received her Juris Doctorate from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon in 1997 after obtaining her undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada Reno in International Affairs in 1994. Lyn, a native of northern Nevada, returned to Reno after law school as a staff attorney for the Federal District Court for the District of Nevada. She spent several years as a Washoe County deputy public defender for Washoe County gaining extensive courtroom experience in both family and criminal matters. In 2005 Lyn became Deputy General Counsel and subsequently General Counsel for the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners where she acted as the prosecuting attorney for the Board in disciplinary matters, advised staff and board members on a myriad of legal administrative issues and worked closely with other licensing boards providing her with unique insight into administrative licensing matters.

In 2012, Lyn transitioned to the private sector assisting clients in professional licensing board matters before a variety of professional boards and agencies.  In 2014 she established the Law Offices of Lyn E. Beggs, PLLC to provide her clients with personal and professional representation.   Lyn knows that developing an understanding of the individual needs of each client is vital to providing the best legal representation possible.

Lyn lives in Reno with her husband and very large dog. She volunteers widely in the Reno/Sparks community and is currently the board of directors Chairman for Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada and sits on the board of directors for Nevada Health Centers. She is active in State Bar committees and is a member of the Washoe County Bar Association and is a member of the American Healthcare Attorneys Association.
